Author Thread: Commenting Metadata

Commenting Metadata
Posted: Saturday, March 10, 2007 3:00 AM (PST)

Hi

I have been searching through the plugins which are commericially available, but with no success, for an Acrobat plugin which allows the commenting metadata to be easily altered [a number of plugins do this for bookmarks].

What I want to be able to do is:

Add a comment using the normal methods [eg highlighting, textnote etc] and then  press a keyboard shortcut to change the username, or, perhaps, have a list appear and select from it.

Purpose:

If you have a document consisting of several pages you want to be able to identify and categorise information which is of interest.

If you change the name of the "author" you can then sort the comments by "author" and all your information is collated as required.

This can be done manually, but this is a lot like walking 10 miles without shoes.

does anyone know of an application which does this?

alternatively, someone who can write this plugin?

Kind Regards

Paul Tredoux
